October Dinner Meeting – Frocktober
Our October Dinner Meeting will be held on 21 October at 7.00pm, and we’ll be celebrating Frocktober in support of ovarian cancer research in New Zealand.
Come along in your most fashionable frock – there will be a prize for the best-dressed frock!
This month, our donations will go towards Women’s Refuge packs.
Women’s Refuge Pack Donations
Some ideas for items to donate include:
- Toothbrushes and toothpaste
- Deodorant
- Small packets of tissues
- Soap and bodywash
- Shampoo and conditioner
- Hand and body lotion
- Combs and hairbrushes
- Shower caps
- Unused hotel slippers
We have small bottles available for decanting larger bottles of bodywash, shampoo, conditioner, and hand/body lotion, so please don’t feel you need to purchase smaller-sized products.
Posy Making – 13 October
Our Posy Making morning will be held on 13 October at 9.00am at Chris’s place.
As part of WI Awareness Month, we make posies to give to other volunteers and underappreciated staff in our region. This year, we’re hoping to provide posies to the Learning Assistants at a couple of Pukekohe schools.
